They released a subsequent firmware that fixed those affected. Or did you reformat before that?

couldnt reformat or anything the the hd was fucked i had to replace it and it worked 100% fine before the update

after trying all the safe mode options every time i turned on the ps3 it said i had no HD

yeah it was a slim and the warranty expired 2 weeks before this lol i was mad

Did you try calling Sony anyways? Most laws would support you and require Sony to still service the console

so uh... any word on this?
