even my priv wow server i play on has a ddos protection becasue rival servers are always trying to take it down with ddos attacks but they dont go brag about it on twitter like its an accomplsihment lol

u cant avoid ddos protection thats y its called ddos protection not ddos maybe protection
al la ddoss attack is is basicly flooding a server traffick t othe piont it overlaods and fucks up
thats easy enough to protect if its from 1 ip which is why you do it from multiple sources
the protection can slow down the traffick and prevent it from overloading...
the rival wow servers ddoss the login server for the server i play on they turn on the protection you log in d/c login again and your fine
but that first d/c is whats saving the server from being taken down by a ddos it doesnt allow the ddos to flood the server

if done large enough scale just about anything can be taken down... but thats hardly hacking thats simply flooding the server to the point it restarts or screws up which t othem is "taking down" the shit
hacknig is like actually hacking and going in and doing/taking shit ddossing is more just being an anonyance then a hacker

SOE is down and so is psn most psn regions are shut down for the past couple hours.
