My hdmi port is all fucked... at least I think it is...

I had moved my hdmi cable from my ps4 to my blueray player in the basement, which worked fine, but when I went to use the hdmi cable with the ps4 again it didn't work.

im starting to doubt if the pins are actually messed up in the port itself, which is what I had thought initially

what are the chances that I just fried the hdmi cable and that the port is actually fine?

don't rly wanna waste money on a new hdmi cable just to find out that it is in fact my hdmi port that's dysfunctional, in which case I would just like sell my ps4 for parts or whatever and just move on & wait for the scorpio or something.



I realize that this is kind of a pointless post. just venting more than anything. still pissed about this.

ive had simlar cases of hdmi cords working and not working when swapping between ps3/android box/satelite box
the hdmi cord had a crack or something and in certain positions would work flawlessly
slide it over a lil bit and you get a black screen sometimes it would flash between black and green

i mean your parents tv or something doesnt have an hdmi cord you can test?
or a friend with an extra cord? shit i got like 4 cords and 1 or 2 broken ones lol

sounds like you swapped it a lot between things which is what i also did i used to swap my ps3 cord with the android box and satellite box
it bends and flexes more if you move it around a lot which can cause it to break or something and have issues

Already gave you a solution last time you posted about it.
You can buy HDMI cables at the dollar store.

HDMIs are cheaper than a PS4 and it's always better to have a few extra.

If you caused this issue by constantly swapping cords between devices, I have no sympathy for you.

do you have classified adds in the newspapers of maybe an electronic devices repair guy near you?
