Get a vacuum cleaner and suck all the dust out from the back vents, if that doesn't help, is it when you play games with physical discs? Could be the laser is fucked.

Different games optimized differently. One may spin up the noisiest fan while the other doesn't.

If you're using The Ghost Vacuum (also known as Portable Containment Unit) from Ghostbusters, yes it can mess up your system. Any home vacuum, won't mess it up. I do it at least once a month. The compressed air would do more damage than the home vacuum.

My system is in a closed off space and tends to collect a lot of dust, usually 3-4 weeks after cleaning it, the fan starts going crazy. Doesn't happen to all games, mainly the larger games, like Grand Theft Auto 5, in my experience.

But the reason is because it's clogged up by dust.

i heard lighting it on fire fixes this issue.

You have to hit with a hammer exactly 2.7 times while it's on fire or else the PS4 will break.
