Hello guys and girls ive started to have a problem with my ps3 everytime i play black ops 2 and gta5 it starts to make so much noice it almost sounds like a vacuum cleaner lol and it dossent when i play fifa or watch movies or w.e. wich is pretty weird ^^ i think it might need to get cleaned inside but i have no idea how to do that ^^ i thought about cleaning it with a vacuum cleaner just from the outside but im thinking it might get more damaged than cleaned by doing that ^^

So what do you guys do to clean your ps or did u have a similar problem and did something else that worked? help me out pls :)

With it turned off air dust the vents. Blow duster along the vents on the sides and back. Do not blow directly into the ps3

Also make sure it is not on the ground and make sure it is in an open place so that air circulation can occur

You can do the fan test every once in a while with no danger to the ps3. Just don't do it often.

Dust build up prevents ventilation. When this happens the fan needs to work harder to get the same results as if it were perfectly clean.

So basicly if i did that fan test right now it shouldnt damage the ps3 system? ofc i wont blame you if it does but in your experiense :)
And should i just w8 like in the video for it to flash red to restart it? because i just saw another vid where some dude just turned it off himself after a couple of seconds.

thanks so much for your help! :)

Let the test finish itself. But I've done it a few times and no problems whatsoever
