generations was pretty tight. I hear colors was good. Sonic lost worlds looks ALRIGHT (kinda meh).

Just as I thought. I know VG charts isn't the be all and end all but at quick glance the last nine years Gran Turismo sold north of 20 million copies, and Gears south.
Unless they are using the term "Top Franchises" as a successful franchise and not necessarily the ones that sold the most.

Maybe you re looking at PS2 sales on older GT titles, but no. GT5 & 6 were the only titles from PS3/PS4 generations thus far. Sales are well under 20m.

Gears of War has 1, 2, 3, & Judgement. Sales are just over 20m.

No, they haven't made a good game, but they made a lot of games like Mario (I know most of Mario's were actually good in the recent past). This is not by ratings, it is by sales only.

this proves nothing really for success of franchises specially if they only count last gen and this gen
no shit sony games arent on there top in sales for a "franchise" on last gen i dont think there was more then 3 in any given sony exclusive franchise so thats 3 games of sale
meanwhile microsoft has like 5 games in each series cod has a new game yearly sports games get new games yearly ... this is just beyond retarded if anybody bases quality of games on something like this
i mean fuckin the wii fit is up there at 6th does that mean its a great game? no its a stupid thing to workout with
