The Lego Movie video game was my first Lego game and I loved it. It was so well put together. When Lego Batman 2 came up on PSN for so cheap I thought it was a no brainier but it's terrible in comparison.

There are so many times I have no idea what to do and there is zero assistance. For instance, break this arbitrary lego item to build something else out of the bricks but the item looks exactly like everything else in the level and has no special distinction.

Or walk along this narrow path, if you fall you die, but do it with this terrible depth perception we created.

There was even one part were you had to drive a forklift and I am positive driving a forklift in real life would be easier.

Playing one Lego game is okay. But you soon realise that they're exactly the same. The only thing that changes are the characters, and they aren't challenging, at all. If you're a trophy hunter or possibly a fan of a franchise, they may be worth playing then.

batman 2 was my first lego game and I kind of liked it, the open world is pretty big and theres a hell of a lot of collectibles to keep you busy for a while
its been a while since I played the ps3 version, it was my 26th plat, im up to 55 now so its been some time since I played it
but from what I remember, you have to use your map to figure out what your next objective is..or you have to go in the bat cave..i don't remember 100%
it was similar to the vita version but it had its differences, atleast with the vita version you had to go in the bat cave to figure out your next mission

I don't know. Maybe it's because I liked The Lego a movie so much I expected to like the one just as much. It's not the worse game I have played and I'll finish it now. You guys should definitely watch and then play The Lego Movie if you haven't already.

lego batman 2 and the lego movie were like 2 years apart, theres obviously some differences
I plat lego movie on my vita and thought it was the best lego game yet, still have to finish it for ps3 and ps4
along with marvel, the hobbit and lotr
I got plenty of lego yet to play, I enjoy the series even though theyre usually ports

Yeah lesson learned. Stick with the newer lego games.
I won't play Hobbit or LotR because I don't even like/ haven't seen the movies and I am waiting for coloured controllers because a second is need to play Lego Marvel.

I only have marvel for the vita but hobbit and the movie I have all 3 versions (vita/ps3/ps4) and lotr I have both the vita and ps3 versions
never watched the hobbit myself or the lego movie but that didn't stop me from getting the games :)
as for another controller, I got 1 when I got the ps4 camera so if needed I could game with my girl or her 2kids
but were still working towards the angry birds trilogy platinum so all other games are pretty much on hold at this point
