Looking to acquire more information on the new "next gen" systems (ps4 and xbox one).

If I had to make a choice, I wouldn't have purchased my ps4. The only fame I want to buy this war is shadows of mordor and I favor PC gaming anyways.

With that said, look at the exclusives for th next two years. If the exclusives don't intrigue you, buy a ps4

Based on the merit of the console alone, PS4 is the better pick up..that is a fact plain and simple.

With that said, get what your friends are getting.

However, if you want it purely for solo player, PS generally has better single player exclusives.

Not really. Depends on where your friends play or are you already invested in a certain community. Go with that one.

You are buying a next gen mainly for splitscreen games ? What kind of games you playing ?

Tbh, the only reason i picked ps4, is because all my friends got ps4, and i want to keep playing with them. Otherwise, i would have bought xbox one because i prefer the exclusives.

PlayStation 4 has better hardware and as such most multiplat games will look better with the occasional cost to some games in terms of FPS because of pushing the hardware too soon. It's main focus right now is indie games and a push to get exclusives in their lineup; something they have always shined at. There is a beta right now for a streaming service that allows you to stream older games to your console. The PlayStation eye is available for purchase so that Enzo can get his rocks off. It comes with a DVD/Blu Ray. Games for the PlayStation typical favor the Japanese market, but have top blockbuster hits like The Last of Us and Uncharted. A future project of Sony is a VR device with an unknown launch date. The PlayStation 4 retails at 399.99.

The Xbox One has lesser hardware to an extent. It will have a negative impact early on in terms of graphics and processing power, but later when things become optimized for this gen things will balance out. It's main focus right now is games and applications. It was designed to be the all in one entertainment center for your home. It boast a large number of servers for online use and and the future ability of cloud processing. It comes with the Kinect 2.0 an upgraded version of the original Kinect with enhanced picture quality and sound transition so the NSA can watch you. It comes with a DVD/Blu Ray. Games for the Xbox typical favor the American market and only have a few games not multiplat coming from eastern parts of the world. The Xbox One Retails at 499.99, but has dipped as low as 449.99.
