it was speculation prior to release that the hardware and software structures of the two would lead to any differences at all. now that people and developers have their hands on it, and it has only been a few months mind you, they are already commenting on the ceiling of the ps4 being much higher and that it is easier to develop games for.
in the short term, this will lead more developers to want to get exclusives for the ps4 - more customers and more exposure. it will simply be easier to get AAA to look better on ps4 as well, it has to be adjusted just to fit the xboxone in the short term even.
imagine the long term... what the last of us was to the ps3 when it pushed the limits of what it was capable of. in the long term, games will be astonishingly better on the ps4 and the exclusives will be the upper echelon of console gaming because the architecture's ceiling is just far more capable of the xboxone; it is not even realized yet.
fanboy/10
sony also buys into companies for exclusives and was the first side pro indie games
but i agree with sony willing to pay for exclusive rights and the OS went from devs refusng to develop for it to super easy n everybody wants too lol
that can only be a + and the sales are maknig the ps4 seem like the dominant console... that will prob bring even more devs and make the ps4 the mian developing console ... no more 360 ports that blow on ps3
