i have 2 sony branded wireless controllers,

black controller = spams the left or right arrow on the directional pad when after pressing multi directions.

white controller = seems to want to erase message letters when i try to press the "X" to confirm each letter.

anyone have a solution to fix this?

ps" my ps3 never gets played, i had to dissasemble the whole unit clean it out.... ew! now my controllers dont work.. :("

could this possibly be the data ribbon not being in contact with the mother board on the control?

Take the controller apart and rub/clean the clear plastic part that has wires on it. I had a similar problem after playing God of War, and that's how I fixed it.

i had to fix my 2 controllers for that by taking a piece of electrical tape rolling it up and sticking it on the pad behind te ribbon
both bin good ever since... n they were pretty bad

anytime id use the left analog it would do ranodm shit like throw a grenade bust out one of my special kit perks on bf3(d pad buttons when i never touched) ect ect
if there the old ones its easy if the new ones they apaprently changed

Here's a fix for only $35 and will actually produce another controller.

Buy a controller.
Put the broken in the package and return it.
Repeat.
3 new controllers.

why bother?can take it apart and fix for free
i fixed mine like maybe a month or so after bf3 came out... bin using them since with zero problems
and i did 2 controllers its not that hard both fixed for the cost of a roll a electrical tape

its really not that hard i watched the guy do it in the vid then did both my controllers
only had 1 issue where the r2 wasnt worknig properly and its becasue it slid out of palce i fixed it up and was good to go 2nd try
took me 3 tries total to fix both my controllers as good as new and maybe like 15-20 mins if that

I have the one that came with my console that I need to decimate let do something with. It sticks like crazy.

i dropped my orig in a bucket of water when i was sick i bought 1 in the first month of having ps3 from friend and it stil lworks fine
bought a new 1 when i dumped my orig n that 1 works fine too
i try to never eat and play with greasy hands and shit even on my pc if im on my pc n eating ill only use 1 hand for pc n 1 hand to eat lol
