this is a fun problem....you can either take the risky route and open it(risk breaking the ribbon cable to the reset/eject button as i did. or you can create a slider card from an old gift card.

opening it would be best if you are good with tinkering with things, but still more risky.

oh did you already open it? if so then i bet it's the ribbon cable on the motor...if the light turns on and the tray wont open, then it's not anything wrong with the front peice...
