Wand:
Better base damage of 651~977 > 667~834 for lvl 105 staff +0 (150 max dam)
5% less damage in either Light or ice skills

Well you cant base wand vs staff on stats like str/spr
Why, cause simple.... staff requires less spr than wands. vice versa on str too.

Secondly if you notice tho. Staff has better low end damage vs wand. But wand have higher high end damage. So with this being said... Wands may hit harder, but if it doesnt hit hard, it can hit weaker than staff. Where as the staff is more constant damage.

As for as socketing goes.... Use pyramids. It increases all damage. 5% gems maybe smart but I know 150+'s that all use pyramids. They said it helps more.

on extreme not a single person will ever use pyramids, ever lol

a pyramid wand hid 23k imited flash when a 15% light wand hid 27k

thats per hit which is massive more dmg

ya some of the other skills aren't as high but when you raise 4k per hit on imited and 3-4k per hit with cruelty lightning thats a hell of a lot more than MAYBE
a few hundered on other spells

pyramid fail /

yes i played some time on extreme, but it' still hard to test 5% items, because they still cost some money

and 5% adds more damage than pyramid, but only to 1 type of attack so its up to you which to choose



well, spr on a mage isnt wasted stats, str is though
well, i think im going to use staff
