while trying to connect to server with my account info , it seems i cannot connect to server id put in my account info and it would say Cannot Connect to Server. Any reason? updating?

yup its ussually because launcher its not updating correctly, try checking out the forums they have a technical support section

probably cause i havent played in awhile and there was no patch downloaded

patches download automatically so even if u quit for a while and missed some of the patches game will update auto.

many peoples have the same problem as you
