Every free games there are bound to be hacks/bots, I just don't like the ads they have popping up out of the screen, very annoying, and it takes very long to level up, I'm at level 62(Bagi), and I can hardly level anymore, unless I get some upgraded equips to kill faster.
You can turn the ad off in Options > Game, down at the bottom of that list. You get 10% less exp but it's easier playing. Also try Crespo dungeon, that's where i'm leveling and i'm a 63 segnale right now, went from 61 to 63 today and half way to 64, spent alot of the day just bsing with buddies too. Watch for the double EXP events, they make it alot easier.
As to the thread starters question, there are alot of bots, but in the later areas you can kill them and get them out of the area for a little while.
Credit for kills is based on who does the most damage to the enemy/enemies, just like drops unless you're in a party and the leader chooses a different item distribution method.
The main annoying things are-
1) Disconnecting at random, which not everyone gets.
2) Spam bots in the two main towns, though they aren't always there.
3) Vac Hack, it lets people pull in practically every enemy in the map to follow them, but you can always switch servers.
4) Well, while bots are annoying you can pk them in later areas or wait a little while and they usually move past where you are. The maps are also huge, so there are other places to go.
5) From what i've seen so far, their customer service is pretty crappy, but that's the case with every online game i've ever played.
Aside from those small annoyances, this game has alot of fun parts.
1) NO CENSORESHIP!!!!!! Dupe is the only word i've seen on there that you can't say, which I don't really understand lol.
2) Big maps and plenty of them.
3) I love the party distribution methods, the party leader can choose for Standard (whoever deals the most dmg gets the drop), Free (Whoever picks it up gets it), Sequential (It goes down the list of party members for who gets what as it's picked up) and Random (Self explanatory).
4) PvP and PK, you can challenge people to a duel if they're allowing it and build PvP points, or in the later maps you can just flat out PK -but beware when you PK your name turns purple and if the person doesn't fight back you gain PK points, which don't go away- and you gain IP (Inclination Points) depending on how many PK points you have, IP drops over time and as long as you have 1 or more IP your name is red, meaning people can attack you freely. You also get sent to jail if you die while you have so many IP, though I don't know the number required for it.
Otherwise if you attack someone and they start attacking back both of your names go purple and no PK points are gained when one of you dies.
Purple name goes away over time, like 30 seconds of not attacking another player.
5) $ in the game actually has value, unlike D2.
6) You can upgrade all of your gear by adding +'s to it up to +9, you can also add sockets to some pieces of gear.
7) Many friendly players, though every game has its fair share of assholes.
8) 2x, 3x, 4x and I even saw on the forums they once ran a 5x experience event, these events last 2 hours and usually happen twice a day i'm pretty sure.
9) The list goes on and on, but this should be enough to get you interested in it.
If you have any other questions I can try and answer them, i've only been playing for about 12 days though so i'm still learning too.
