I've read xbox one x can do 1440p at 120hz. Does this only work on 2560x1440p monitors or can my ultrawide 3440x1440p work? If so how? I can force HDMI manually but I only get 1080p at 120hz. My monitor will do 3440x1440p at 144hz.

Xbox doesn't do display port. I haven't tried hdmi on my pc. It will do 1440p at 120hz but I think Xbox wants it to be native 16:9 first.

If its option B, that would explain why the xbox can't support it cuz only hdmi 2.0.

Some monitors are like this, wasnt sure if yours was.

It'll do 1920x1080 and 3440x1440 but it doesn't state 2560x1440 though it will do it on the computer. I don't get that but oh well.
