So I bought the movie Interstelllar for my Xbox thinking it would be a good time waster when the internet goes down. Well my internet is down now and the blu ray app won't even open without an internet connection

I had to hotspot my phone for the Xbox to load the blu ray app and then I turned the hotspot off, and now the movie is playing

I believe there is an option on your system settings to set your xbox to offline mode. Then everything should work properly.

It most likely needed an update.

Make sure your console is set as home console first, but this works.

Never had this issue when watching movies offline. When I'm offline is the only time I watch movies from a disk on the device lol.
