no cause in the time it was set up that way, i had a game with xbox live trial and after it ended the try xbox live gold for free ad popped up. some stuff i have read that if its set as your home xbox you play free but never heard of that but once

Seems pretty straight forward.....

You had live for free for some reason, whether it be because of a new box or w/e, but you don't have it anymore.

Buy Live, or play games that don't require it.

Only if you have another account on your Xbox set as home that has Xbox live membership will let you play online for free.

Probably have auto pay setup. I thought the same thing but it turns out I was getting charged 60$ a year automatically and I lost the email I used to initially sign up my account when I was like 14 so I had no idea lol.

Most likely this, and your credit/debit card changed and they can't charge it so they cancelled the service.
