I have ASTROS that I payed £220 for but rarely use as I mostly use now are these

Apie Premium Genuine Wood Corded In-ear Headphones Earbuds Heavy Bass Noise Cancelling Earphones with Microphone for All Apple Device Android Smartphone (£15)

just normal headphones that I got from amazon to listen to music on my phone with I randomly plugged them into my pad 1 time and there actually pretty decent just try any normal pair of headphones you have with a mic on them to test them out.

Hope this helped.

I use turtle beach x42 with the 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter. Bought the adapter off amazon for like $6, and headset I got from the RLT forum (ty d2).

Works great for both sound and voice. Love that it takes rechargeable AAA batteries, always keep a set charged for easy swapping.

E: I have the Xbox one controller with the 3.5mm port, the turtle beach plug was 2.5mm and I used it with my 360. Needed the adapter for this reason.

If you can find a Turtle Beach Earforce XO Seven, it is a headset style controller that comes with the adapter and only has the one cord running to your controller. I think it's quite good and it was the cheapest one I found when I got my box in 2014. Price was around $50 back then iirc.

/e on Amazon I could only find an XO Seven Pro/Premium which are quite a bit more expensive. Not sure if you'll be able to find the original model.
