One s is capable of playing 4k blu ray, has small performance gains over the normal xbox one (7-11% depending on title), and also can play games in HDR for those that support it. Xbox one cant do 4k or hdr gaming.

There are some black Friday deals for the one s. I'd get that over the OG xbox one if it were me. On a side note, as I already have an OG xbox one and don't have a 4k tv yet, there's no real point in upgrading for me.

I'll buy a 4k tv set next year around when scorpio is released.
