If a game selling a million copies in its first week is considered a flop then 95% of games flop lol. Gears ultimate edition sold under 300k on vgchartz first week and is up over 3 million now for a remaster. I'd expect gears 4 to sell 3-4 million copies which is still a success at this point on the One. It wont reach the heights of Gears 1-3 but any game that can sell 4 million is a success. The game cost about 100 million to make and do promotion for so it needs to sell about 1.8 million to break even. If it sells even 3 million that's still an 80 million dollar profit for Microsoft which they would gladly take and it will help move consoles during the holiday season as well.

Its got nothing to do with being serious its just called facts lol. Gears should have some pretty big legs for the holiday season. Its been a hell of a year for games if you really look at things and has been one of the best years,if not the best in terms of being a fan of shooters and Gears is included in that.

yeah they've had a lot of great releases and ffxv/wd2 is right around the corner

Just think about this year from a shooters perspective.

Overwatch
Gears of War 4
Battlefield 1
Doom
The Division
Deus Ex Mankind Divided
Call of Duty IW/MWR
Plants vs Zombies 2

most of those games are averaging close to 90 and all came out in the same year. That's a crazy year for shooters

I bought doom,overwatch,uncharted 4,gears 4, rise of iron, as far as shooters go this year

That only counting retailer only, that not even included the digital copies sold

vg always does retail only I forget what the console average per retail to digital is but retail is the bulk majority by a lot on sales on console

Digital is 30-40% depending on the game. Xbox exclusives probably go closer to the 40% because of the buy once play anywhere option that they have on their exclusives
