i need some help trying to watch Tv through my xbox

I hooked it up and i can watch tv through the xbox but when i go to change the channel with my xbox controller it wont change the channel.

Your controller turns off after not being used for 5 minutes???

nah i can move around from the channel listings its just when i hit "A" nothing happens.

When I use sling TV on my xb1 I have to hit b to get to the different channels

do you have kinect?

just read that i may have to get something called an IR cable or sensor or something like that

No I don't have kinect, but sling TV is just an app
