A quick glance at the website says it offers a ton of plugins. Plugins that seem to offer a means for the device to communicate directly with the hardware. I would say if you are consistently able to do things in game that you would never be able to do with a standard controller that a ban is inevitable.
It would be a lot safer if it was spoofing the input but then the features wouldn't extend past a regular controller.
Are you talking about stuff like rapid fire mods and such for FPS games? I know people that have used jitter mods and other similar mid's for years playing call of duty, I don't think you get banned for it, but I'm not 100% sure
