So I purchased this headset yesterday and everything works fine but the microphone... I've tried using it on the phone and it works but as soon as I try it on xbox one live, no one can hear me but I can hear them

You have the headset adapter connected?
Also on the adapter if u don't have it. Press the bottom left button then volume all the way up and make sure the middle button isnt on or that means your muted.

I believe there is also a setting in your xbox settings that new to be switched out. Voice chat to headset and kinect or just headset. Something along those lines.
