Would it be my interest? Don't see how since I'm running netflix ATM and it's fine. Doubt it's the speed...any ideas?

Oh it might be your NAT. Google NAT settings.

You need to hard reset your xbox.
Hold down the power button on your Xbox until it shuts off. Unplug xbox for a few seconds, plug back in and you should be good to go.

Or it could be if you have console horizontal. It's supposed to be verticle and placed on the floor, preferably carpet. It also helps if you have a cat that knocks things over.

Check help.bungie.net for this or Bungie Help on Twitter. There were regional outages last night. Anybody telling your console is the wrong way or it's your connection is just wrong.

The console direction was obviously a joke, but how can you say without a doubt that it is not his connection settings? Seems like a fairly foolhardy statement even if there were outages
