got brand new 360 1 day old... nhl15 was spinnin and my xbox fell , xbox seems ok but nhl is destroyed
i have the complete warranty on nhl thanks god... but what about the xbox can i hurt it or not?

My cat tipped over my Xbox and it broke. The disk drive wouldn't work anymore. The hard drive corrupted and wouldn't reformat. The console itself would freeze and produce a grinding sound when turned off.

All of this because it tipped from a vertical position to a horizontal position.

ouchhh:( , i felt so bad since its 1 day old... it can read everything , didnt notice any weird sounds , if something is wrong i have like 3 months warranty with walmart and 1 yr with MS

it was place horizontaly on my desk and it fell from the back.. but i had the time to hold it , the disk didnt survive tho

Consoles are not meant to be stood up regardless of any PR associated with them

i never did use an xbox vertically , it just fell back at 90 degree and i picked it up , it didnt hit the ground or anything
and theres a sticker that clearly says do not move the xbox while there a disc in it , just wanted to know if damage can be done to xbox by the disc itself
btw , it still runs perfectly . just wanted to know what could happen , the scraches on disc are like paint not deep ones so im guessing theres nothin to worry about

I would return it now while its an easy sell that it's defective just to be safe.

i know that disc scratching is a common problem with xb dvd drives... i just dunno if walmart is gonna give me a new one just for that

and dats why u leave it horizontal imo
