85 Crucible matches without a single decent drop. Don't worry man, it's not just you. It seems like the game gives items to people who do poorly. Grinding hard or being incredibly lucky is the only way to advance if you're even somewhat mediocre.
That's true. It's a mechanic to keep you addicted.
Don't play a lot, you are rewarded and want to go further for better items. You feel that if you invest the time you will get better gear.
Play a lot, you can't level too fast because then your excitement will end. A neutral feeling with the sense that more time will net better items is what they are after. It's not true though, more time doesn't equal anything.
You can never be too excited because the opposite would be the non-excitement and that when people are likely to drop off.
Devs know this now. A study was done to see why games like candy crush are so addictive. It was found that he audio/visual/ and progression were all deliberate to keep you addicted. Kim Kardshian hired a slew of devs to make her game and they were all told to exploit the same mechanics. Now she is making boatloads for the same reasons.
All just sheep being played by the game.
I kinda of feel its a bit dishonest but people need to make themselves more aware that this a real thing.
For instance, do you think it's a coincident that frozen is a cultural phenomenon amongst little girls or that scientists played a part.
