In terms of Xbox it generally means you have your Xbox connected to a computer and using its internet.

in general terms it means that you build a passageway between 2 separate sections of land, ie. connecting 2 sides of river.

In social terms its when you get together with a couple people and play Bridge.

It's not even really a term anymore for Xbox. It was for Halo 2/Halo 3 when you could manipulate the connection to the server to either gain host or slow down the game for other players. But now there is more server security which prevents these actions.

Lag switch?

bridging is making sure the guy who lag switches gets host so he can lag switch
