How exactly do we summon?
We both killed the 1st boss (minotaur) and got the stone.
I know the summoner has to be a human, but we never find each others summon sign

help pls

No party chat, find a place, keep putting your summon sign every 20 seconds until they see you. Once you connect you should be fine for a while.

Also, we've both killed minotaur and he killed a bore and a knight, does that matter?>
One more thing, just 1 player put the sign down?

My friend can see my sign but everytime he tries to connect it he says it poofs

You can do it with private chat.

You cannot summon someone once you have killed the area boss.

I'd say his nat is probably closed.

When wolf and I played, I would have to summon him first. After that he would be able to summon me.

only one person puts sign down
be within 10 levels of each other
summoner can not have killed area boss
area boss is the one with the life bar in the bottom of your screen

Only issue is that sometimes we'll be in the same area (killed the same exact bosses) and we cant summon eachother.
Is that normal?

sometimes the signs jus dont appear for you, dark souls multiplayer was really flawed
