It's run hot with a disc in it a few times and nothing, but it started randomly putting striped lines on my screen. (no discoloration, randomly stops and starts)

I restarted my xbox and it was still doing it at the login screen. I didn't have a disc in, was playing saints row from my hdd.

It's also been just a teeny tiny bit laggy as far as textures popping in.


... just overheating? It's a used xbox from disc replay, don't know shit about it's condition.

i dont know about the xbox really never had this problem , but try changing your resolution in settings and also try to clean your HD cable , blow air in it and make sure it is well plugged.

also if your xbox is old and has difficulties reading discs , you have to open it , clean dust , then open the disc platform then move the disc reader (eye or lazer) closer from its end.
theres lots of video on youtube showing how to open it , once you know how its easy takes 5 mins to do all that.

if you have the xbox standing up...lay it on its side like its meant to be
