I would believe you will see a response from Microsoft at E3.

What do you think Microstofts VR headset will be named?

I speculate - Envision or something with vision in the title.

Likely won't be one. They'll use Oculus Rift.

I don't think this is true since the Facebook acquisition. Seems unlikely Microsoft would be okay with a peripheral that could potentially sell gangbusters that isn't their own.

Doesn't mean they will make their own though. They don't have a handheld dedicated gaming device. They probably won't do vr just like Nintendo probably won't try it again.

Of course, just speculation. I wouldn't be surprised either way.

I don't think Microsoft cares all that much about the Facebook purchase. It costs a lot of money to develop one of these things and for the One MS probably wouldn't make their own.

Microsoft is apparently making Google Glass style hardware with VR techniques (not just a picture in the corner but an actual virtual HUD). But a headset? Doubt

With things like the Kinect and Smartglass I doubt Microsoft will venture into VR anytime soon. They have too much tied up in other products that they want to succeed. Who knows Microsoft has done some crazy things though.
