I'm not tech smart when it comes to TV's
Wondering which would run better between a high end 1080p 120hz LED or a high end 1080p plasma
I know for sure image burning is no longer an issue and the heat build up on plasma is not an issue for me personally

Mainly using this TV for gaming ONLY

I've discussed this with 5 tech savvy people I know and 4/5 recommended the plasma
Supposeably the plasma runs much smoother and the dark colors/black/color contrast is MUCH better than an LED

When I say high end I mean both are around 1.5k-3k. The LED being cheaper than Plasma(of course the plasma's higher price to compensate for quality difference).
Both TV's being between 46-55 inch TV's
I'm mainly looking for performance/quality so price is not an issue

LED > Plasma

LED's last a little bit longer then the plasma. most games offer an ingame adjustor for contrast and shit. i prefer LED to plasma any day of the week.

What I've been told is that the trumotion and 120/240hz makes movies more crisp and nicer but creates input and frame lag for games(which is why they have game mode which brings it back down to 60hz)
The way plasma works, there is naturally no motion blur and the frames move/integrate smoother naturally so it's ideal for gaming
Of course I cant explain it the way it was explained to me but that was what I got out of it lol

personally i feel that when im using a led i can focus more and the screens don't normally have a fuckin glare from lights. easier to focus on.

test it out with your friends im sure one of them has a plasma or LED.

I'll try that but I wish I could do it side by side
Either way they're going off of specs/knowledge but none of them actually have a high end LED or plasma

plasma is better for gaming cuz 600hz

i personaly have a 50inch sony s60 plasma and I love it

What model/year is it?
Does the lighting in the room have a huge affect on the color quality or no?

if you got money to burn i would get oled

If you just going to use it for gaming. I would personally use a monitor. Monitor > tv.
