My take on PS Vs. Xbox
I've owned everything from Atari to Xbone and everything in between and it seems like Sony is the laziest at making consoles or tries to hard to give the consumer the least when it comes to its products so the consumer could spend more on "extras"
PSX Vs. Nintendo 64
PSX had to use memory cards Nintendo didnt but did have removable memory
PSX didnt have analog controllers but the 64 did so PSX copied
PSX was 2 players only while N64 was 4 players right off the bat so PSX came out with Multi tap for up to 8 players.
those were the major features the 2 had that PSX had to incorporate in order to keep up with customer demands. But again all were add ons you had to keep on purchasing to stay relevant.
PSX also has a bigger list of add ons than any other console in that generation. But don't get me wrong. I loved playing PSX. Gran Turismo was the shit along of KOF series, Legend of Legaia, all the Mega Man games. Man I played the shit out of the PSX. But I feel as the PSX tried to hard to get more customers to spend cash.
PS2 Vs. Xbox Same deal. Memory cards, external hard drive, 2 controllers, things it could of fixed from the previous generation but failed to do so because of it's popularity and demand made it easy to exclude and surcharge customers for those amenities. But like the PSX, I was also a PS2 user and felt as if I always need to spend more on add ons to enjoy my games like the steering wheel for the Gran Turismo series.
PS3 Vs. 360. I decided to opt for the 360 in this case because I saw that right off the bat, the 360 offered what you needed to pay extra for in the PS2 and X and I was glad I did. Internet gaming boomed and even though I had to pay $50 a year, It was worth it. Gears of War was great along with Halo Series and online classics were available. 360 was perfect.
Which is why I prefer the Xbox 1 over the PS4. People say the kinect is no good and useless. Well I love it. I can turn on my TV, Cable box, and Xbox with one voice command, change channels, switch to gaming in a second, go to Youtube, Netflix, Internet, ect. ect. with a simple voice command. Even when I go to sleep, I can turn it all off with voice commands. Add all the great games and beautiful graphics. It's an amazing console.
But the debate is really useless. It all falls under choice of preference. I like my system for what I use it for. Maybe the One isnt for a lot of people.
i stopped at 64 didnt use memory cards
