Few more Multiplayer things I learned from browsing a thread where the IGN Ediotor and chief was answering questions.

-There's a proximity chat, but you can also hit up on the d-pad to talk with everyone.
-According to Ben, the Lasso will be in MP.
-There are female character models
-What is that red and blue bar again? Blue= Horse stamina Red= Dead eye
-What is the difference between the money you earn and the XP? Money buy items XP= levels
-You will able to play Poker, toss horseshoes, drink etc

-Then there's the Gang hideouts which are like mini dungeons if you will. You and some friends can go in and clear it out and it's not just one hideout there are tons around the world. They probably do respawn or reset after a certain amount of time or maybe the leader can trigger a respawn for all in the options.

If you do enough to get a bounty on your head the game will send out the authorities to come after you and other players can try to take you down for an XP reward as well. If you manage to survive you gain XP rewards for killstreaks, so basically longer you hold them off the more XP rewards your getting.

-The NPC's that are not story related all will be in the Multiplayer Free Roam too. So I'm pretty sure you still get the random spawn side missions and can like go sell your skins to the respective guy, buy a drink from the bartender, buy to the gunsmith and get some ammo, etc.

-Plus like you mentioned the hunting and wave survival areas. Gathering the herbs and stuff. Plus if you can imagine a game and get people to agree to do it you can always do those type of quirky stuff in free roam.

-It's basically going to be the single player game but online with some friends playing alongside you, or random people that join if you set it up like that. The only difference you can't do any of the main story line.

-Marston can buy rooms to live in while he doesn't feel like camping. We don't know if they work like the GTA safehouses or like the Oblivion houses.

-Dan Houser confirmed MP trains last May.

-Health regenerates on its own
