I have a giant Sony block-sized monitor from 2000 with 13 horizontal lines running through the screen. It occasionally turns off when I load certain webpages and turns purple and flashes when I play video games. You can disable this feature by simply unplugging it for 3 seconds and plugging it back in. Feature is mandatory every 5 minutes.

Mounted on top of this beauty, I have a thinkpad which had its screen burned out, hooked up to the Sony. The keys on it are all broken so I use a usb keyboard. Picked up this upgrade when my hp pavilion (128 mb sdrram, pentium 3 533mhz 20gb hd, sick, i know) could no longer support my needs. Although it did run wc3 at a blazing 5-10 fps.
