Dude, if anything it would come off as a worse version of The Walking Dead.

If they wanted to do it justice they would need to sink a LOT of money into it.

The Live action trailer for ODST was awesome, but extending it into something like a movie is laughable.

They're remaking both Baldurs Gate I & II and putting it into one disc. They're also adding new content, and while it's being developed by a non Bioware company, members from the Mass Effect and Dragon Age teams who worked on the old Baldurs Gate are going to help with the remake. It's not just a high def remake like so many comapanies do with their games (coughsonycough), it's a full reboot so they can set up for Baldurs Gate III likely on the generation 8 consoles.
