I constantly bring  my Xbox 360 to my parents farm, to our families cabin, and to other places like my brothers apartment. These places don't have internet not to mention the internet I have at my current location (not to mention most any location by here)  is spotty at best.

The functionality of the Microsoft and Xbox One basing the large majority of their console off of a readily available internet connection is inconvenient at best; saying otherwise is the sound of denial.

Although most people do have an internet connection not all of those people have good ones. Places all of your faith in the Cloud is something I will not support.

everything is on the console and the cloud

only need a small amount of time for it to do its check to make sure youre not duping games

To give a reference: This is 60 dollar internet around here since there are no lines going this way. It's all satellite. Four people share this internet; this is with only me on it. It doesn't matter how "Future Proof" they make the Xbox One you wont be able to render graphics through the cloud on a connection like this. And for another reference 21% of user have a worse connection than this.

people with spotty connection or limited bandwidth cannot make full use of the cloud, and they will be utilizing everything it can do

oh I see your logic

the "target audience" so that means I'm not a part of the "target audience" because internet is not available to me

so instead of acknowledging the people who cannot get internet, they just consider they don't exist

nice loophole microsoft, good job

The vast majority of their target audience have access to internet. No matter how much you want to believe otherwise, it's fact, and you can confirm that by looking up the statistics of internet access in the US.

That's internet access. You don't need high speed internet to pass an authentication.

their target audience does not include the people who don't have readily available internet, so you can throw whatever bullshit number you want to, it does not make a difference

the proof is right in your idiotic posts

No, but they are still assuming a high speed internet access will be readily available. They have already stated they are throwing processing power into the cloud. If I can't load a 360p youtube video in a constant stream how will that work not to mentions the weeks I leave taking my Xbox to a place with no internet.

Go ahead and lie to yourself all you want. It is a flat out inconvenience.

I agree on the inconvenience. My cousin and I are considering not getting it and we have constant internet. Just nothing good will come of it.

Do you know what a target audience is? It's anybody who would consider buying a product. It's not "just people with internet", it's everyone who would consider buying the product. And it just so happens these two overlap, the vast majority of their target audience can pass a 24 hour authentication. Satellite internet could pass the authentication.

And for the record, anyone who thinks cloud is going to be taking advantage of to its fullest extent in the first few years is a moron. It's going to take a long time for the technology to be perfected, and in the early years, it'll likely only be used as an optional feature to boost the graphics/performance of games and for multiplayer games. Nothing to worry about if you have poor internet.

cool story man, go ahead and believe what you want, people are turned off by this idea, alot of people are

microsoft will lose money because of it, it's as simple as that

I had no intention of purchasing one anyway, microsoft makes alot of greedy moves and it was only natural it would come to something like this

only a mega nerd fanboy/delusional idiot would think what I'm saying wasn't the case

It as a whole is a deal breaker to me. I wont settle on a console that will be a constant inconvenience to me. It just doesn't... Make... Sense...
