We can't really agree on it since it is a subjective statement.
XB1 is not a failure just because it hasn't sold anywhere near PlayStation numbers. It has outsold 360 thus far for them, and 360 was a great success for their gaming division with over 75 million units sold in its lifecycle.
Measuring XB1 to PS4 makes no sense at this stage (not that it will really make sense at any stage). People will play the games that they want to play. Even if XB1 had sold less than 360 thus far, I would still have gotten that before PS4 because the controller is better for my hands and Halo is my favorite game series.
Furthermore, I didn't bring up the financials. The user you replied to above our conversation is the culprit for that. Don't see how it was a mistake either way though as all of my arguments were sound.
Just remember, you didn't see people coming from Xbox sub to your forum to spout about PS3 failure for the first 5 years of its lifecycle (even though it wasn't a failure then either, just less of a success then 360). It is the bitter immaturity of some Sony users that bring these debates.

Already been stated in this thread that Sony has more console sales. Too bad they have no exclusives and the rest of their company divisions are floundering.
At this rate, Playstation will be sold to Samsung.
Yes you did. You can Have a sound argument and be wrong.
It is subjective, but let's make the subject success determined by overall sales. PS4>XB1 and that's definitive, not subjective.
And you gotta be kidding me if you think no came to the Sony sub to trolol. People do it now for PS4.
