why light armor ? Wouldn't heavy armor make more sense since you don't have a shield and could use the added defense?

I like light armor due to a personal preference and role playing elements.

It's never to late to try it assuming you can always go back.

i don't think it get's "too late"
but it might be harder to level up since it'll take you more skill level to get an actual level to put points into the light armor tree.
