Its because in the style sheet for the announce site you could find remnants of where the old gen console logos went at the bottom with the others so there was some speculation.

I saw rumor on reddit that they will still release 360 and ps3 versions but they're taking the opposite approach of GTA V and will release those in a year's time from the new gen and PC versions (probably down rezzed ports done by another studio under them)

It is entirely possible. My guess would be that the site was made for a long time, and at the time the site was made they had plans to release on older gen, but by the time the site actually went live they dropped them.
It would make sense too if they had started it then maybe passed them on to BluePoint or something to finish it off.

For sure. The install base is still large enough and there is stilloney to be made. I don't know if I am going to get it for PS4 or PC myself.

i always have more fun playing on console but when the goty edition comes out ill get it on pc so i can check out the mods

I do to but Fallout 3 wasn't the most stable and New Vegas was even worse.

i never had any problems on console
pc on the other hand.... i cant play either one more than an hour without it crashing
