Willing to pay 400-500 for the consoles and 60 dollars for every game, but not willing to pay the absolute MAX of 60 dollars for a year of service that now literally pays for itself.

I agree,$5 or less a month is nothing for all the great features. What DOES grind my gears is having to pay for a game($60), pay for Xbox subscription($35-$60 a year) THEN on top pay $X.XX a month ALSO to play a game that I already own(IE Elder Scrolls Online) which is why I most likely wont buy that game. Even if I go a week without playing a game on my Xbox One, the features I pay for with Gold are still useful in other applications on the console. Paying an extra fee for just one certain game seems insane. What if im busy with work that week and don't have time to play it, would feel like money pissed away. If I own it, I shouldn't have to pay a fee to continue to use it.

That's why i don't play MMOs. You should be buying a timecard that only depletes with online time, if even that to pay for the amount you play. But instead you have to pay per period.

I don't think it will last. Most of the pay to play MMO's don't last. Does Elder scrolls seem like it has more potential than those other MMO's? yes... but Destiny is coming out. 500 million dumped on the creation, Bungie made it, free to play with a subscription... I think Destiny will cast its shadow on elder scrolls. especially because ESO is delayed loool

I agree. ESO doesn't look that good anyway. People need to stop trying to break the WoW barrier. They've been declining for the last 5 years. No one wants to pay that much anymore.
