Poor people love their couple hundred dollar console and $60 games. I am sure it was the $50 yearly sub that made so much of a difference.

Because back in the PlayStation 3 days the Xbox 360 got ripped on hard core for having a payed online service and it was one of the reason that more than a few didn't get it.

60$ a year is alot to some people that dont have all that much time for games. Like going to school. Plus the ps3 had really bad online connections cause there was not a 60$ per person payment to support better servers like xbox. Probably fixed with 50$ year for ps4 but still has no games so idc

90% of ps3s games are 20-40$ arcaded trash that dont take more than an hour to finish.

Yet the xbox360 was 299 for the core and 399 for 20 GB and the ps3 was 499
And then Xbox even dropped $100 in the next year
Not to mention the fact that kids on here were scrounging for free subscription codes and discounted codes
Some could even only afford to pay by the month

Most of the gamers at that time were college kids or high school anyways so I doubt they were balling and they were living on a budget regardless if they bought a ps3 or 360
Probably even had their parents pay for it
