Not even that mad at the cat. All this damage was caused simply because it tipped from a vertical position to a horizontal position. Something like this should only happen if you drop it down a flight of stairs...

put it in the bath tub. should fix it

I still don't know how you can be mad at microsoft versus your cat or yourself in this instance. -_-

They did not say it would be safe to stand it up or that it would be durable enough to flop around. When I spend a chunk of money on something electronic, I make sure it is as immovable as possible in most cases.

I wouldn't expect my $350 TV to hold up if I let it flop backward or forward, so not sure why I would expect my xbox to either.

They designed it to be put vertical and all it takes was a simple "tip" to cause this much damage. I've had it standing like this for over a year with no problems besides this one fluke incident.

Draw yourself a picture. Just stand your Xbox up and them put it on it's side. That is all that happened. There was no 100 pounds of kinetic force crushing it. It just tipped over.

Pretty much. To top it off the wireless on it doesn't work. It picks up the wireless single, but can't connect to the network.

It is now in a box on a shelf.

I will just play steam games and netflix on my computer that is melting itself.

I'll probably save up some money and wait for a price drop. It's bound to happen sooner or later.
