Whoa don't get offended because I said Halo was a clone. I thought this was common knowledge? Wasn't it believed that Halo ran on the Quake engine for the longest time.

they are played quite differently though, specifically because of they way you are able to move in games like unreal tournament and quake

I wouldn't say quite differently. Obviously I'm not saying it's 1:1 comparison. Dudebro's like jsbb like to think Halo was Gods gift to earth when really there were games like it before it. I just mention it because the dudebro's get raged.

the mechanics are quite different halo has a slower pace, but yes of course it was inspired by earlier fps games
