I was going for a 400 dollar model and a 500 dollar one, but it doesn't look like there will be any difference. Maybe HD?

No way would HD be the difference..

Is this Cloud thing they were talking about your only storage?

id say price will be anywhere from 500-600 only because it comes with kinect

plus another 60 if they keep it at that price for xbox live gold.

No chance. Absolutely no chance it will be that expensive. Microsoft has always been willing to take operating losses on hardware.

Stores only get an allotted stock of items like this. Being the first to preorder means a guarantee in the first shipment. Preordering late and you will get the 2nd batch and so on.

That's for games, not for consoles. Stores have some say in the amount of product they get. For consoles, you cannot pre-order one and be guaranteed to get it. Gamestops and EB games will only get between 40-50 consoles each and those would be sold out in days.

That being said, I'm going tomorrow to see.

should only be one model

500gb hd + kinect

i think the hd is gonna be essential with the increased capacity of everything.

but more hd space might not be needed with cloud saves and everything.

Kotaku published an article that claimed a bunch of ridiculously false things. Said no used games, Microsoft just came out and said this was false. Said if you tried to play a game on a different account, you would have to pay a few. Microsoft said this was false. Said it was always online. They said it was false. What kind of bush league journalism is that.

All the time. They lose money everything they release a new OS for Windows, they lost money on Windows phone. They lost money on the launches of both the Xbox and 360. Microsoft has always been willing to sacrifice short term profits for long term market domination. Microsoft doesn't deserve the greedy stereotype they seem to have. Sony has already announced they plan to make money on the PS4 launch (They also need to because they're a bad launch from going bankrupt). Microsoft could care less.

They may lose money on the console but more then make up for the loss just off licensing deals.

360 was 300-400 range so a 500-600 dollar range is not out of the question. though 400 would be the happy medium for most people.

It really is out of the question. In todays market, people aren't willing to spend that much on a console with a limited library of games. Microsoft also cares more about getting people than making money, and they can afford to take a hit. $400 makes so much more sense than $500-600.

We're actually lucky the Playstation and Xbox forums have become much smaller in recent years. On other game forums the Sony fanboys are going wild saying how Microsoft is going to die (Go bankrupt) because they didn't show any games and because it's always online and there's not used games.
