Well now 3 days into having an xbox, before all my games even finished downloading, its crashing about every 5-10 minutes and restarting itself. Even while just using media player. Looks like everything I ordered was a dud... taking it back today to try again >.>

Yeah did you get it pre owned? Or did it look like it had been opened before? I know some people will buy a new console and then return there old one saying it didn't work right to get it replaced for free.

i barely play xbox anymore but i absolutely love the elite controller.
my favorite was having the abxy buttons accessible on the back of the controller.
im not sure if others have that but i loved that feature. it also has a nice feel to it and the joysticks are pretty nice

I got it brand new on bestbuy.com. It was sealed and definitely never opened before. My first xbox from bestbuy also died within 4 days... forcing shut downs every 5 minutes... so maybe thats my problem. New xbox is working fine, so may try another elite controller in the future. Still getting used to the differences between xb1 and ps4 controller anyway. Thumb sticks are tighter and not as smooth at some angles, and tiggers are tighter. Once I'm used to it will see about elite again.

Not needed for caual gameplay, if you plan on playin gamebattles then it's a must.
