I just hate the space physical copies take up in my room. I mean I got way too many physical copies of games since I got like 30+ games for each console, Sega+32x, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Xbox, PlayStation/ps2, 360. So buying digitally takes up no physical space and with pretty much unlimited storage on your consoles with external hard drives it's just nice to have everything ready at a click of a button and never have to switch discs or worry about scratched disks or losing them since you can download from your account whenever you want.
I definitely understand why people prefer digital these days. I still do physical only and have almost 400 games and have it setup where it doesn't look like a clutter or anything. I think of it as a collection. For the most part they will severely depreciate in value but at the end of the day there is still a value. If I ever fell on hard times id at least have 5-10k sitting here that I could sell and help keep myself on my feet for a little bit where as with digital you will never see a dime from it again.
