They don't reduce for boxing/instructions, they don't refuse because of cables/controllers missing, they make you pay for the replacement out of the credit you would have gotten.

/e also they wont refuse it if you go for the same model, as long as it works, youre forgetting they are profiting off the sale.
Not sure how your gamestop works then. But I was an AM for a year at one of the best gamestops in my area. We didn't take them without cables or controllers unless it was a special case.
