Depends on if you take less magicka cost perk/s and/or craft -25% magicka items.

I got 250 magicka and it's enough for my summons, healing and alteration spells, 400 hp and rest is in stamina. I wouldn't put points in stamina for pure mage though, because that 100 is enough for running if you're not wearing armor.

But, there's also good perk in Alteration - Absorb 30% of the magicka of any spells that hit you.

It's kinda easy to find items that gives +magicka but quite hard to find gear that gives health. So I would put most of the points in health and maybe once or twice into magic.

Anybody know of any Bows stronger than a Flawless Elven Bow?
also, any armor good for either Conjuration, Destruction or Archery?

Armor caps at 567, use whatever you want that is that high. I'd say light armor though so your stamina lasts longer/faster movement

A Daedric bow that you upgraded while having the Ancient Knowledge power, wearing Dwarven armour enchanted with level 100, with the skill and 5/5 enchaing perks taken for smitihing, as well as wearing the rest of your amour and jewelry enchanted the same way. After you take a max blacksmiths potion.

by smithing them is the far most easiest way

is it still not recommended to install the game? Or have any of the patches fixed that?

there is already patch out that fixed at least magic resistance and dragon bug
