The government was approved by the British Government and still under its command. It did not have its own army. It took them awhile to establish some form of uniform.

As a side note, you are likely getting the commercials that are primarily suppose to entice Americans to buy the game. Those commercials are going to feature redcoats getting beat up, it tends to make Americans feel proud and excited.

They show those same commericials in the rest of the English speaking world as well.

And it's irrelevant those goverment's were technicallly still British, most of the people involved were colonists.

I still need to get brotherhood and revelations   But this is still looking great.

ya i recommend both of them, but to be honest trying to finish both of them back to back might get a little bit tiresome, i would choose one or the other

i liked revelations more than brotherhood personally, because of some really epic scenes and gameplay that you encounter throughout the story, plus the hookblade is awesome and the storyline is great, and there are some new and refreshing gameplay elements that you dont get to experience in the other games

It is hardly irrelevant. The stamp tax was just a suggestion? No. British government made laws and enforced them. The colonists were always under the British rule and when there were problems, the government sent more redcoats to enforce its order. How are they suppose to show Connor kill an equal amount of "colonists." what distinguishing feature do they have? You realize the red coats act as the policing unit in the towns. So yea, you are goin to encounter them making rounds (especially Northern colonies).

It is irrelevant. British pariliment could pass law for it's colonies, but all the 13 colonies had their own legislature.

Before the revolution started, there wasn'tall that many British army soldiers in the 13 colonies, not enough to police everything. Towns had their own militia, which would outnumber the British army. So any places under colonial army control will have colonial miltia, and the developers have already said it's about equal who'll you'll be killing, half from the British half from the colonies. It's the advertisement that's the problem.

It always gets released later anyway, not a big deal, nothing to get worked up over.

And I could do without such a ridiculous "British are evil, Americans good ra ra" mission anyway.
