after a while in the main quest line you obtain the reach from the jarl and your bounty is gone. or just pay 15k.. easy to get

I just played about 5 hours straight not remembering to save. Open door to blacksmith shop and xbox freezes. I'm so angur

Just to add on to this a little bit, the damage reduction in the game is capped at 80%, which is achieved with 567 overall armor rating. You can get this much armor with any armor in the game, even basic fur armor with the use of potions. Anything over 567 doesn't contribute anything towards your character, so feel free to smith and enchant whatever armor you think looks best.
